In connection with alleged rape of a woman by suspended Additional Secretary, Home, JP Joshi and counter FIR lodged by him against the woman and two other persons, accusing them of blackmail and attempt to extort Rs 3 crore for settlement of this case, the court has extended judicial remand of Anil Garg, Neeraj Chauhan, Sanjay Banerjee, Sanjay Singh Waldia and woman complainant upto February 28 on Wednesday.
These accused appeared in the court of Judicial Magistrate-II Rinki Sahni. The special police team formed to solve this case is yet to arrest the two New Delhi based accused who had allegedly demanded Rs 3 crore from Joshi for the ‘settlement’ of the case. The district court has already declared both the accused absconders.
