The Jan Sangharsh Morcha has submitted its memorandum in the office of the State Chief Secretary seeking the lodging of a first information report (FIR) in the case of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat providing incorrect information on his election nomination papers.
The Jan Sangharsh Morcha chief Raghunath Singh Negi said that as the appointment sought with the chief secretary was being deferred due to some reason or the other, the memorandum was submitted to the chief secretary’s staff officer.
Negi reiterated that CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, had stated his age as 46 years in the 2007 election nomination paper, 52 years in the 2012 nomination paper, 54 years in 2014 and again 54 years in 2017.
As per his known birth date, the Chief Minister’s age should have been 56 years in 2017 and earlier it should have been 51 years in 2012, not 52 years as stated in the nomination. He also alleged that the Chief Minister had either provided incorrect information or incomplete information in his nomination paper for which an FIR should be lodged.
