A few days back, BJP constituted a 25-member State election committee that includes four ex CMs — Maj Gen Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri (Retd), Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and Vijay Bahuguna aside from the Union Minister Ajay Tamta, Satpal Maharaj, Sanjay Kumar, Trivendra Singh Rawat,Teerath Singh Rawat, Madan Kaushik, Dhan Singh Rawat, Harak Singh Rawat, Mala Rajya laxmi Shah, Neelam Sehgal, Naresh Bansal, Khazan Das and Gajraj Singh Bisht. National general secretary Shiv Prakash, state BJP in-charge Shyam Jaju and state BJP election in-charge JP Nadda and Dharmendra Pradhan have been appointed as associate members of the committee.
