lafarge Jojobera Cement Plant organised an orientation programme for members of the Joint Committee on Sunday evening in Jamshedpur. The purpose of this programme was to acquaint the new members with the working and rules of the plant.
The Programme was inaugurated by Rakeshwar Pandey, President lIEU and Manoj Kumar Agrawal, Vice President, Jojobera Cement Plant with the traditional lighting of the lamp. Vinay Kumar Dubey, Plant HR Head, then welcomed the guests and participants.
During the course of the programme, Agrawal spoke about organizational changes which form a continuous process in every organisation, and emphasised the importance of maintaining focus on performance in order to retain our competitive edge in the market.
Pandey, the Chief Guest on the occasion, urged the members of the Joint Committee to function in coordination with the management so that future generations could also benefit from associating with this organisation.
SK Srivastava, Secretary lIEU, shared his views on industrial harmony; while Bijay Khan, General Secretary lIEU spoke on roles and responsibilities of Trade Union leaders. VK Trivedi encouraged workers’ participation in management act ivies. Rahul Chatterjee, Manager Industrial Relations wrapped up the evening with a vote of thanks.
