The noted social activist Anil Parkash Joshi while addressing the youth conference on Saturday urged the youth to intensify the campaign to save the State from the perils it has been facing.
He said that to save the State, the State Government would have to concentrate on some points like development of villages & village-based employment resources. “This would bring economic stability. Besides, growing unemployment among youth based in the hills tells that the Government has no youth-centered development plan. This aside, we have to involve the coming generations in development-centred decisions,” he said.
None of the Governments so far over 15 years since the State formation cared to organise programmes like ‘Youth Connect’ in the schemes they have launched, he said, adding that the youth has come up together on the issues like save the village by themselves. He said coordination among the youths from the urban and the rural areas is a must for saving the villages from the decadence they have been facing.
He said the that the government should show that they are concerned about saving the villages instead of dishing out announcements. “By keeping the youth at bay they are ensuring that the future isdark for the State,” Joshi said.
