Jobless Shiksha instructors' concern over Govt inaction in their induction

About 910 Shiksha Acharya/instructors in the State are uncertain about their merger and their hope for merger has been replaced by the fear of a bleak occupational future for these unemployed youth. The Jansangharsh Morcha chief Raghunath Singh Negi said this while speaking at a meet held on the issue of the merger of Shiksha Acharya/instructors here in Vikasnagar on Sunday.

He said that while the once hopeful youth face a bleak future anxious to benefit from the merger before crossing the eligible age criterion, those in the Government and officials of the administration have remained inactive on the issue.

Negi said that in the past, in about 32 petitions, the Uttarakhand High Court had issued order for the merger of these Shiksha Acharya/instructors. “Despite this, far from facilitating the merger of these unemployed youth, the bureaucrats and administrative officials are trying to pose impediments. The review petitions filed by the State Government have been rejected by the court but even then the State Government does not appear to be interested in taking any concrete steps on the issue. The Jansangharsh Morcha too has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister raising the issue of these unemployed persons but the Government has remained apathetic towards their problems,” he said, adding that a protest march to the secretariat will be organised if the merger is not facilitated soon by the Government.
