The activists of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest march carrying fire torches on Wednesday and demanded that stern action should be taken against those responsible for raising anti-national slogans in the campus of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), recently.
The members of the student organisation gathered at Gandhi Park and marched towards the Clock Tower carrying torches. Addressing the students, ABVP leader Paras Goyal said that it is unfortunate that many political parties are protecting those who were involved in shouting anti India slogans in JNU and are terming the Government which acted against these elements as anti national. He said that strongest possible action should be taken against those involved in such activities.
The city secretary of ABVP, Arun Kumar asked that can some students or organisations be given right to engage in seditious activities in the name of accusing the RSS and ABVP.
He said that the whole country has watched the shameful act of some students in JNU. The ABVP leaders said that exemplary punishment should be given to those engaged in Anti India activities so that no one dares to repeat it anymore.
