Continuing her family tradition, young Jeevantika Rana donned olive green of the Indian Army on Monday. With this, she has become the fourth generation of her family to be in the Army.
Her father Colonel Dr J S Rana (Rtd) said that after completing her MBBS from the SGRR Medical College in 2016, Jeevantika had expressed her desire to serve the armed forces of the country, following in the footsteps of her great grandfather who served in the British Army, grandfather and father. Dr Rana who is the deputy medical superintendent at Government Doon Medical College Hospital said that the family had encouraged her in view of the family tradition.
Jeevantika who joined the Army Medical Core (AMC) would be posted in Military Hospital (MH) Dehradun.
