It's a drama, says BJP

BJP national spokesperson Anil Baluni has said the Congress's sit-in in Delhi is a mere high-voltage drama bereft  of substance.  He said the people of Uttarakhand are smart and they know who had given the industrial package to the State and who had scuttled it. The Congress had run the Centre between 2004 and 2014. But the State Congress satraps lacked spunk  to challenge  the party's Government on  the emotive  issue of package.

Taking potshots at the State Government, the BJP leader said  the sit-in is a melodrama meant  to divert the people's attention  from the mayhem the State is a witness to.

Baluni alleged that the BJP had kept on raising the issue during the UPA's tenure during 2004-14. The State Congress was mum. "Even then Congress MP and Union Cabinet Minister Harish Rawat did not support our demand. Had he supported we would have received the package. Now they are shedding crocodile tears," he said.
