Though the sky would be cloudy, the weather would remain mainly dry in the coming 24 hours in Uttarakhand, says the weather office, Dehradun. According to the director, Meteorological Centre, Dehradun, Anand Sharma, there would be little change in the temperature in the next 24 hours. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature was recorded in Dehradun at 36.3 degree Celsius with the minimum hovering in the neighbourhood of 21 degree Celsius. Things would remain almost the same on Wednesday, he said. He added that cloud might form in the afternoon/ evening.
With sultry spell continuing for the past few days in Dehradun and its adjoining areas, the people are longing for rains to cool things down for them. “The beauty of Dehradun concerning its climate lies in the fact that whenever things turn hot and humid rains come to balance. We hope the same would happen now as the hot spell is making us suffer a lot,” said a resident of the State’s capital.
