It was a sight to behold in the Kendriya Vidyalaya of IDPl Rishikesh on Thursday when 30-member team of students planted saplings in the school premises. Those fair hands stained with mud but smile on faces bore testimony that there was more of joy in their hearts of doing good than the toil of labour.

On reaching the Kendriya Vidyalaya, the monitors of the classes of the school welcomed the foreign fellow mates. Rakesh Chandra Goyal of Kendriya Vidyalaya facilitated the programme.

Speaking to The Pioneer, Ram Mahesh Mishra of Parmarth Niketan said, “This programme is in conjunction to the establishment of Peace Garden in london for the spread of peace by Parmarth Niketan. The students from different universities of United Kingdom also distributed fruits to the students as part of mid- day fruit campaign."

The coordinator Sanjeev Sareen said that many of these students were studying business management and had come in students’ exchange programme.
