IOC to launch 5-kg cylinder

Published on:

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is going to launch 5-kg commercial lPG cylinder at IOC’s Aashirvad petrol pump at Chakrata Road in Dehradun on Tuesday. The lPG sold under the scheme will be called Free Trade lPG (FTl), said IOC Dehradun area deputy manager Dhirendra Kumar on Monday. Customers can procure 5 kg commercial cylinder for Rs 1650 from this petrol pump. The rate of refill will vary each month.

He further said that this decision has been taken as over the years, a new category of consumers had emerged in big cities who are mobile and thus they do not want a permanent lPG connection. Such customers need flexibility for getting the lPG cylinders as per their convenience and their needs can also be fulfilled by smaller quantities of lPG.

At the time of the first sale, the customer would be required to give a copy of Voter I-Card, Driving license, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, bank passbook, employees ID, passport, Student ID or any other such document that can be used as a proof of identity, he added.
