The outsourcing instructors of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) are staging a dharna outside the Education Directorate here; these employees are demanding that they should be adjusted in the Uttarakhand Purva Sainik Kalian Nigam limited (UPNl) or Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD).
There are 114 instructors who are employed by the outsourcing agencies in the SSA. The president of their association Suresh Panchwan said that Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and SSA simultaneously recruited the instructors from the outsourcing agencies but the instructors of RMSA were adjusted into the PRD which resulted in extension of their service. He said that there is resentment among the workers of SSA over the impartial treatment of the Government and threatened that they would intensify their stir if their demands are not accepted soon. Panchwan said that the State Government would be solely responsible for if the agitation takes a violent turn.
