The publication of display advertisements and classified advertisements of all the Government departments of the State will be facilitated by the information directorate in Dehradun. The stated advertisements will not be published through the district offices of the information department. Payment for the classified advertisements will be made by the information department after the date of advertisement release order.

The information director general Vinod Sharma informed that in order to encourage e-tendering system for classified advertisements, all departments are expected to keep the number of words minimum in publication material related to classified advertisement. Detailed information related to notifications, rules, conditional stipulations and necessary pro forma among other aspects should be uploaded to the State Government’s official website www.uk.gov.in or the official website of the department concerned. Sharma further said that notice/notification regarding the publication of classified advertisements and other related details can also be sought through the information department’s official e-mail address tender.ipruk@gmail.com. The information DG said that regarding information about the classified advertisement made available through e-mail or fax, the department concerned will have to communicate this to the office of the information department at 0135- 2742223, failing which the department concerned will be considered fully responsible for non-publication of classifieds made available through e-mail/fax. Sharma said that for the publication of classified advertisements, the newspapers to be selected for this publication will be made in cognizance of the provisions made in the Uttarakhand procurement rules and as per the procedure set up by the department. In this regard, all the departments are expected to  mention without fail the estimated  cost of the work failing which the cost will be estimated by the department after considering various aspects like security deposit and other aspects for the selection of the national/vernacular newspapers under the provisions of Uttarakhand procurement rules.

The department concerned will be considered fully responsible for providing necessary tender information on time for the purpose of publication of the tender.

In general, this information will have to be made available in the state in three work-days and in four work-days in the case of national newspapers. In case the department delays the provision of the advertisement information, the complete onus will be that of the department concerned, said Sharma.

The material contained in the notice/notification  related to tender information/notification should be clear and legible to the reader. This should be provided in the same language in which the newspaper is published.

Clear mention should be made in case of tender publication in newspapers outside the state. Tender publication work will not be possible on the day of a government holiday, considering which all the departments are expected to keep in mind the holiday occasions in publication plan, said Sharma.
