BJP spokesman Sudhanshu Trivedi categorically said that credit rating agency Moody has forecast that India's GDP will grow in near future. Now foreign nations have acknowledged India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi which is why June 21 was declared as International Yoga Day and 177 countries have become co-conveners of this celebration. These are some achievements of one year old BJP led NDA government. Trivedi was on a two -day tour of Uttarakhand as part of celebration of the NDA completing a year in office at the Centre.
The union government has launched several schemes for the welfare of the poor. Taking cognisance of the unseasonal rain in March-April-2015, union government has eased the norms for relief and increased compensation amount by 1.5 times. Earlier farmers were getting compensation if more than 50 percent of their crop was damaged but the extent of damage has now been dropped to 33 percent.
"For the social upliftment we have launched three projects on war footing level i.e. Swachhta Abhiyan, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Namami Gange. Now Prime Minister is visiting different countries and especially meeting with the Indian origin people who have settled in different countries.
By doing this PM has laid the foundation stone of great India. It is a great achievement that earlier new scams were resurfacing on an average of every 15 days like TV soap operas but now no scam has surfaced for the last one year and even the opposition is making its best efforts to dig out something fishy without success."
Dwelling on the things the government has done for the farmers, Trivedi said they have widened the scope of compensation for those farmers whose crops are damaged due to inimical weather, be it frost or heavy rain or other phenomena. “The previous norms warranted that they would get compensation in case 50 percent of their crop is destroyed. But now we have narrowed the limit down to 33 percent. This aside, we have increased the compensation amount by 1.5 times,” he said.
As far as Swachh Bharat Mission and Namami Gange programme are concerned Non- Resident Indians too are sounding keen to make their contribution in nation development.
Commenting on the scam in post disaster rescue and relief operation, Trivedi said that this expose has ascertained the BJP stand because the BJP was consistently raising this issue for the last one and half year. It is a criminal offence and it is habit of congress government. Congress government has always been nightmare for common man and it is matter of nation and state as well.
"It is serious offence and we would expect that state government would conduct inquiry into this. If they would recommend for CBI inquiry then I will also request Union Government to instruct CBI to conduct inquiry. It depend solely upon the state and if they recommend the CBI can intervene otherwise not.
It is also true that union government had given money for the rescue and relief operation and even given money for the reconstruction but due to constitutional obligation Union Government can’t take suo moto action on it. It is true that national GDP has increased but agriculture development ratio does not increased but now we are working on it.
As part of this farmers are being issued soil health card so that they can changed their crop pattern as per soil health. Even union government has giving emphasis on promotion of rural infrastructure. For instance earlier if all villagers agreed then government was working on infrastructure building but now we have changed the policy.
As far as land acquisition bills is concerned then under the act only land will be acquired for the government work or Public private partnership (PPP) project and nothing else.
As far as Jan Dhan Yojana is concerned then we have been working on Monetary banking, under which anybody can get loan upto Rs10000 to Rsten lakh only. This is part of long term policy of the union government. Earlier individual person were not getting loan to run small eating kiosk but under this project they can get loan as per their need between Rs10,000 to Rsten lakh," said Trivedi.
