The ‘Rajya Nigam Karamchari Mahasangh’ of Uttarakhand has requested the State Govt to implement orders of increase in grade pays of drivers in State transport corporation as well. In a letter written to Chief Secretary, President of Mahasangh, Santosh Rawat said that the state government has increased the grade pays of the drivers of state government from time to time but the drivers of the state transport corporation are deprived of these benefits. He said that the structure of the transport corporation is designed in such a way so that it offers limited avenues of promotions for its drivers due to which most them retire on same posts.
