The Ice skating association of Uttarakhand held a felicitation ceremony in Mussoorie on Sunday for the participants of Uttarakhand who took part in 13th National Ice Skating Competition.
This competition was recently held in Shimla in which the 17 skaters from the state participated and won 15 medals. The international ice skater Shrey Painuli handed over the participation certificates in the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion the President of the association Shiv Painuli appreciated the contestants. He said that the medal winners have proved that the state has capability to do good in the sports and if the government opens the International ice rink at Maharana Pratap Sports college then the skaters would bring international accolades. Those felicitated on the occasion included Aryan Vishwakarma, Abhishek Dangwal, Suryansh Bhandari, Jatin Bhatt, Jayam Ali Aktar, Sahil Negi, Rahul Singh, A S Bisht and Aditi Vishwakarma.
