Times World School congratulates all toppers
Dehradun: The students of Class XII at Times World School who passed in first class and distinction attributed their success to their teachers and school management who instilled faith in their abilities.
Among the toppers, Shivang Sharma expressed gratitude for guidance from teachers who helped him whenever he was stuck with a difficult problem. Harsh Bansal said that the school had provided him opportunities to attain the goals of his life.
Sankalp Bhatia thanked the school for giving him opportunities which helped him improve.

UPES marks World IP Day
Dehradun: UPES held a workshop and panel discussion recently to mark World Intellectual Property Day. Addressing the gathering, ex deputy controller of patents and design, SK Mitra explained the importance of IP laws and development in that field over the years. He spoke on the protection, creation and commercialisation of IP rights that are still shady in a world of rapid internet and unrestricted data access.
Head and Dean, Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, IIT Kharagpur, professor M Padmavati talked about the value added services of Intellectual Property while uncovering the lesser-known issues for patents as cited by previous precedent cases.
Head, IP Management, WIPRO Limited, Kolkata, Sudipta Ghosh spoke about the gradual emergence of IP laws in India and their impact on the economy and resources of the country.
Head of IPR and Technology Transfer Adastra IP Private Limited, Mandira Roy spoke on IP management and technology transfer policy for success in creative India.
Gairola takes over as UERC officiating chairman
Dehradun: The member (Law) of the Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission (UERC), D P Gairola took over as the officiating chairman of UERC on Friday. The post of the Chairman was lying vacant after the term of its former chairman Subhash Kumar ended recently.
