Free polio vaccination today
On the occasion of National Immunisation Day, the State will administer free polio vaccine to children below the age of five years on Sunday. In a bid to spread awareness about the campaign, health workers and commoners participated in a awareness rally on Saturday. The rally commenced from Mahatma Gandhi’s statue at Morhabadi and Ranchi Civil Surgeon marked the beginning of the campaign by administering polio vaccines to two children at Morhabadi.
Shaswat Institute celebrates Women’s Day
Shaswat Institute of Teacher’s Education celebrated International Women’s Day at the premises of the institute by sharing success stories and motivating women not to settle for anything less than what they deserve. Dr. Asha Kumari Gupta from Ranchi College spoke about the achievements of women in India and how they play a pivotal role in shaping the society.
Reena Kerketta, Zila Parishad member from Ormanjhi shared her experiences at the function. A cultural programme was also organized to mark the occasion.
