The grand finale of the first ever Techfest of the IMS Unison University came to a close amidst gaiety and gusto as the students cheered the participants and winners as they received their prizes for the various competitions. The School of Management hosted, ‘Spardha Unison 2014’, the School of Computer Application, Technospire 2014, the School of Communication, ‘Commania’ 2014 and the School of law, ‘National Moot Court Competition 2014’.
The two-day long festival ended with the valedictory function on 8 February, 2014. During the festival, students were tested in various fields in an environment of healthy competition and there was participation by students not only from other parts of Uttarakhand but also from different States in the country. The valedictory function began with an address by Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor, IMS Unison University, Dr Pawan Kumar Aggarwal. In his address, Aggarwal expressed his satisfaction in the fact that despite it being the first event of its kind, the degree of participation was indeed impressive. This was followed by an address by Pro Chancellor, IMS Unison University, Prof Dr MP Jain.
In his address to the audience, Chancellor IMS Unison University & DIT University, Dr RC Goel congratulated the students and staff of the University for conducting the festival in a professional manner. This was followed by an interesting talk by Chief Guest Dr PP Bhojvaid where he candidly shared his personal experiences with the students in a very light hearted manner. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the Registrar, IMS Unison University, Dr Amit Adlakha.
