The members of Indian Media Centre (IMC) would create awareness about the ill effects of drugs among the school children of Dehardun. To discuss the important issue a meeting of IMC Uttarakhand was organized at Marshall School here on Monday. The members appreciated the positive steps taken by state government on the initiative of the IMC.
Speaking on the occasion the President of IMC, Anoop Nautiyal said that it is a matter of great pleasure that the state government passed strict orders to administration to ensure that the students are kept away from the menace of drugs and other intoxicants, after IMC raised the issue in its previous meeting. He informed about the aims and objectives of IMC in the meeting. Nautiyal said that IMC should work more energetically to fight substance abuse so that the youths are diverted towards positive direction. The social media incharge of Chief Minister, OP Sati highlighted a need for a comprehensive study on increasing incidences of substance abuse among youths in the state.
