REACH-Talkies would be screening the Italian film "Il Postino: The Postman" directed by Michael Radford, on July 21 at Muse, Hotel Inderlok in Dehradun. The film tells a fictional story in which the famous Chilean poet Pablo Neruda forms a relationship with a postman who learns to love poetry.
The movie stars Philippe Noiret, Massimo Troisi and Maria Grazia Cucinotta. The screenplay was adapted by Anna Pavignano, Michael Radford, Furio Scarpelli, Giacomo Scarpelli and Massimo Troisi from the novel Ardiente paciencia by Antonio Skarmeta. It is worth mentioning here that the Rural Entrepreneurship for Art and Cultural Heritage (REACH) Talkies facilitates the screening of a popular film on the last Sunday of every month.
In the past this enterprise has facilitated the screening of the movie An Affair to Remember and a documentary film titled The Kingdom Comes, which is a 45 minute film on the revered Mahasu Devta of the Jaunsar Bhabar region of Uttarakhand.
