A short film on women empowerment by IIT Roorkee associate professor, Satyendra Mittal, was also screened during a three-day international film festival organised in Dehradun. The title of the 26 minutes long film was Daroma: A girl who never falls. Mittal said, "In the movie, the hero adopts daughter of heroine who passed away due to blood cancer. It's play of emotions of the characters which the viewers liked."
He said that writing script for the movie was a stress buster for him since he is involved in many national projects including the forthcoming
construction of Dobra Chanthi suspension bridge which would be the highest altitude suspension bridge in Asia for carrying mini truck loads.
The bridge is to be constructed in Tehri district. Slated to be opened for the public in the near future, the bridge’s foundations have been designed by Mittal.
