minor’s decomposed body found
Dehradun: An unidentified body of a two and half year old boy was found in a decomposed state at Nawada in Nehru Colony area on Saturday. The body was sent for postmortem. It was yet to be identified, said SP City Ajay Singh.
23-year old man commits suicide
Dehradun: A 23-year old Shivam, resident of Rajpur, committed suicide after consuming poison on Saturday. However, the deceased’s family members said that a woman, Ravina, staying in the same locality was responsible for the death. They alleged she was pressuring him to marry her after giving his wife divorce. The woman is now absconding. Rajpur police officer said that team has been formed to investigate the case.
Police arrests man for land fraud
Dehradun: Dehradun police have arrested one Sameer Khan, resident of Jamanpur, Selaqui for allegedly selling his land measuring 139.69 square metres of `9.44 lakh despite securing loan worth `4,85,000 from the Central bank against the same land. Jogindar Kumar, resident of Gorkha Basti Selaqui, Sahaspur has registered a complaint at Sabhawala police post. later, it was transferred to SIT, Garhwal Range. A case under section 420 of IPC was registered against the accused in the Sahaspur Police Station. Acting on tip off, police arrested the accused from Selaqui.
