Knowledge liberates the mind and only a society that is able to devise mediums, methods and strategies to propagate knowledge and educate its every single member can hope to provide its present and future generations an environment of growth, dignity, respect and constructive development, said Justice K D Shahi (Rtd) while speaking on the occasion of ‘Prospectus launch ceremony’ organised by ICFAI University, Dehradun here on Thursday.
He said that the teachers are the basic foundation of any educational institute and said that by virtue of being associated with the University he can say with conviction that the quality of education and teachers of ICFAI are very good.
Speaking on the occasion the Vice Chancellor of the University R K lalwani said that the alumni of the University have done exceedingly well in all spheres of life at both national and international levels. “Our university provides great opportunity to students and makes its presence felt in terms of cutting edge technologies and global perspectives,’’ he said. He said that the University has started the process of inviting the team of NationalAssessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Pro Vice Chancellor B Kumar said that the law courses of the University are best and are drawing very good response. He claimed that many former students of law college are now employed with leading corporate firms in India and some of them have also started their own firms.
The Registrar, P K Dash gave a detailed account of the facilities available at ICFAI University, Dehradun
The Director, Branding, ICFAI Group, Sudhakar Rao, presided over the launch ceremony. He highlighted the contribution made by ICFAI Group in the higher education scenario of the country in last 30 years. He claimed that Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurial Thinking are the three basic principles of ICFAI.
