The Punjab Government on Thursday appointed IAS officers at district level to supervise the arrangements concerning availability, procurement, storage, lifting and payment of paddy for this season.
An official spokesperson said that C. Roul, Principal Secretary, School Education has been designated as Nodal Officer for Fazilka and Sri Mukatsar Sahib, G. Vajralingam, Principal Secretary, Science Technology and Environment for Sangrur and Barnala, B. Sarkar, Secretary, Elections for S.A.S. Nagar and Roopnagar, Vishavjeet Khanna, Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development for ludhiana and Moga, Sanjay Singh, Principal Secretary, Jails for S.B.S. Nagar and Hoshiarpur, Roshan Sunkaria, Financial Commissioner, Rural Development and Panchayat for Mansa and Bathinda.
R. Venkatratnam, Principal Secretary, Transport has been designated as Nodal Officer for Amritsar and Tarn Taran, A. Venu Parshad, Secretary, Power for Jalandhar and Kapurthala, Vivek Partap Singh, Secretary, Vigilance for Gurdaspur and Pathankot, Ajit Singh Pannu, Commissioner, Patiala Division, Patiala for Patiala and Fatehgarh Sahib while V.K. Meena, Secretary Revenue for Ferozpur and Faridkot.
