I was about to be lynched: Tarun

Sharing his experience of the attack made on him on Friday, MP Rajya Sabha Tarun Vijay said in a press statement on Saturday that he was about to be lynched by the caste hate mob. “That was the moment to see the danger of death looming before my eyes,” he said.

However, making it clear that he is not one to cower before such threats, he said he would continue with his fight till the Dalit people are enabled to enter any temple they like without the least of resistance from any quarter. He asked Governor KK Paul and CM Harish Rawat when they came to see him at a local hospital to provide full protection to the Dalit community people living in Jaunsar Babar.

The MP further said in the statement that the incident had made him realise the pitiable condition of the Dalits. Besides, it had strengthened his resolve to work to realise RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s appeal ‘one temple, one well, one crematorium’ for all Hindus, the statement said.
