The Kotdwar Police solved a murder mystery of 23-year-old Shama, who was killed in mysterious circumstances on July 23 in her residence, on Saturday. Police have arrested her husband Saleem and his younger brother Sakir in this connection. later, they were sent to Pauri District Jail.
According Kotdwar Police (city) Inspector Renuka Chaudhary, both Saleem and Shama’s marriage was second marriage. Saleem has three children from his first wife. After marriage, Shama had started misbehaving with her stepchildren and this was the bone of contention between the couple.
Chaudhary said that Saleem had extra marital relation with his younger brother Sakir’s wife. Knowing this Shama got furious over her husband Saleem. Realising that she would reveal before public then both Saleem and Sakir hatched a plan to eliminate Shama. In this process Saleem injured himself to show that the murdered was committed by unknown person.
Earlier, Kotdwar police registered a case against unknown person under Section 302 and 323 the IPC stated that woman was murdered in Kotdwar on early morning on Tuesday and her husband was manually hammered by the unknown person.
Investigation Officer Kunwar Singh Bisht said that Saleem showed unconsciousness when police reached the murder spot. The injured Saleem was admitted to hospital by the police. From the beginning, police was suspecting Saleem’s involvement in the murder case but after the through investigation they revealed their crime.
