Hindu Raksha Sena (HRS) has demanded CBI probe in the matter of food poisoning of Acharya Balkrishna, Patanjali Yog Peeth trust’s secretary general and aide of Yoga guru Swami Ramdev. The national president of HRS Swami Prabodhanand said that the State Government must take it seriously and arrest the miscreant.
Addressing the media at the Press Club of Haridwar, Prabodhanand along with his supporters said, “I have appealed to the chief minister to get a probe done in the matter so that things can be clarified. In the past few months, it has been observed that many ascetics have been in trouble. How and where Kothari Mohan Das of Udaseen Akhada vanished is not known till date. So many innocent ascetics were killed, one of them is Mahant Sudhir Giri in a property issue. No action has been taken yet. The property of ascetics is religious property and of the society. These properties are not of any person but of the Trust. The land mafia is always trying to usurp such properties. The government and district administration generally work with an apathetic attitude. If this continues, the form of ‘Devbhumi’ of Uttarakhand will vanish. A CBI probe in the Balkrishna matter is necessary since he is managing director of Patanjali Ayurved Limited and has given to the world much in the sphere of Ayurveda,”he said.
The HRS chief further said that if CM refuses, his supporters will go to the Union minister for Home Affairs and even upto President of Indian. “We will even protest if needed across the country if our demand is not met. Mafia elements are getting bold in Haridwar. The chief minister has the moral responsibility to resolve whether it is related to property, pre-planned or as Ramdev himself said — some big conspiracy hatched against him,” he said.
The ascetic questioned why even four days after the incident had it not been revealed as to who had offered the peda to Balkrishna which made him sick. Why was he not kept under observation for three days as is the norm in a hospital and why had no agency probed into the matter, questioned Prabodhanand.
