leader of opposition and Haldwani MlA Indira Hridayesh lambasted the State Government on various fronts. Addressing the media, she said that the heaps of garbage in Haldwani were mocking the Swachchh Bharat campaign. Alleging that public was being harassed under the anti-encroachment campaign, she said that homes were being demolished even though the buildings plans were approved in the past. Such anomalies are taking place in the campaign underway in Dehradun and Rudrapur. The State government should approach the Supreme Court in public interest. She also questioned the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. “Even BJP MlAs are openly criticising the government. The condition of roads, power and water supply in the state is in a bad shape. The government has failed to even repair the potholes on the roads,” she alleged. Hridayesh also questioned various decisions of the Central Government, adding that the public will vote against the BJP considering such decisions.
