State Finance Minister and Senior Congress leader Indira Hridayesh has hailed her party’s victory in Bhagwanpur by-poll. Congratulating the people of the Bhagwanpur Assembly Constituency and the Congress workers, Hridayesh said that the result proves that the people are solidly standing by the State Government on the matter of development. The electorate wants the development works initiated by late Surendra Rakesh to continue in full swing. She also sounded happy over the huge victory margin.
“We would win the 2017 Assembly election too,” she said, adding that the people would reject the BJP decisively for having befooled them with false reams of development during last year’s lok Sabha election campaign. The Centre has drastically cut Uttarakhand’s budget, she said. The Centre is averse to development of the state and the five BJP MPS from the state are showing the same mindset, the senior Congress leader said.
