On Tuesday, the House witnessed several occasions to laugh during the five-hour long debate because both treasury and Opposition benches MlAs made House ease by making sarcastic comments against each other Speakers address.
For instance, leader of the House Harish Rawat said that their government has issued 800 Government orders since February 1, then BJP MlA Sanjay Gupta said: “You please leave some works for their Cabinet ministers as well.”
CM Rawat said that being a newly married bride (Harish Rawat) has “not even see two rooms of the in-laws house, you should have given time to the State, but you brought no-confidence motion. Replying to this, leader of Opposition Ajay Bhatt said: “When the Cabinet realized that the bride (CM Rawat) is making all efforts to capture the entire House, then they brought infighting on road so we had no option other than this.”
When CM Rawat said that “as you know that the State Government is working very hard to rebuild the State,” MlA Sanjay Gupta said “You became chief minister of Uttarakhand during disaster; so you will have to take care of ghost as well.”
When leader of opposition Ajay Bhatt said that newly bride (CM Rawat) is making all efforts to annihilate Opposition leader, then CM Rawat said “when mother in law would be like you (bhatt) then the bride would have to use all strategy to safe herself at in-laws house.
When leader of Opposition Bhatt said that being a cabinet minister you (CM Rawat) had written 1607 letter to then Vijay Bahuguna
Government so everybody know who did what while state was reeling under disaster.
Then Chief Minister Rawat said that “Your (BJP) senior leader wrote a letter and everybody knows how he condemns their party high command.” With this treasury bench could not retrain from beating their desk. When Cabinet Minister Harak Singh Rawat rose to counter opposition allegations, MlA Madan Kaushik said: “There is a tradition being followed in the school that naughty student is being made monitor of the class so treasury bench would field you to counter the allegation.” With this the House witnessed laughter.
