The Nainital Hotel and Restaurant Association has demanded that the State Government’s guidelines related to tourism should be made more practical. This demand was raised in a meeting of the association chaired by its head Dinesh Sah here on Thursday.

Members of the fraternity expressed concern and discussed the future of tourism in the state. The association discussed the demands raised in the meeting of the Uttarakhand Hotel and Restaurant Association held a day earlier in Mussoorie. The association has demanded that the governmental guidelines be made more practical to revive the tourism business failing which the members would be forced to shut down their hotels and other businesses for a considerable period.

They also demanded that the rebate on electricity fixed charge should be extended till March 2021 along with providing rebate on electricity, water and property tax. Further, they also said that the government should facilitate interest-free loan to revive their business. The members of the Nainital association supported the demands raised in the meeting of the state association. The members stated that they will have no other option but to shut down their businesses if the state government doesn’t issue practical guidelines to restore the economy.
