A Home Guard and his family met labour Minister HC Durgapal to complain about the failure of the police to find his son who has been missing since August 1. On August 1, Bindukhatta resident Pawan Mishra, studying in Class XI had gone to school inside the Pantnagar University campus but has not returned home since then.
His family members searched for him for two days before approaching the lalkuan Kotwali where his father Dinesh Chandra Mishra has been posted as a Home Guard. Mishra lodged a missing person’s complaint on August 3 but no clue has been found about the teenager’s whereabouts. They accused the police of not taking any concrete action to find the missing youngster.
Earlier, Pawan was also injured in a road accident and in spite of a complaint being lodged with the Kotwali police, no action has been taken so far against the guilty person, alleged the Mishra family. Pawan’s father suspects that the person responsible for the accident or one of the teachers of his school may have a role in the boy’s disappearance. Durgapal pulled up the lalkuan Kotwal and ordered him to take necessary action.
