Employees of the HMT factory, Ranibag, Haldwani, continued with their agitation on Friday, protesting against the Central Government’s decision to close down this public sector unit. The stir has been continuing for the past one month. A delegation of the striking employees called on Chief Minister Harish Rawat during his Haldwnai visit here on Friday, urging him to do something, said KS Rawat, media in-charge of the HMT Sanyukt Sangharshsheel Morcha. The Chief Minister informed the delegation he had written about this matter to the Prime Minister, Rawat informed. The agitating employees, however, decided to continue with their agitation till their demands were met, further said Rawat.
