A complicated hip replacement surgery was successfully performed by Dr Puneet Gupta, senior orthopedic surgeon, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. The patient was suffering from acute pain for the last two years and was unable to walk. The operation turned out to be a miracle for this patient who started moving using the walker as early as the fifth day after the operation.
According to the information available, Kishanlal (50), resident of village Harnol, Yamuna Nagar, received injuries in road accident. Due to injuries, hip joint ball got cracked at many places. Suffering from unbearable pain, Kishanlal, got himself operated at two placed but was unable to recuperate.
After conducing the necessary tests, Dr Puneet Gupta did hip replacement surgery. A team of doctors comprising Dr Puneet Gupta, Dr Harpreet and Dr Kunal Vij operated upon him that lasted for four hours.
The surprise came to the patient and his family when he was able to walk using the walker just after the fifth day after the operation. Dr Gupta also assured him that after a few days, he will be able to able freely without a walker and would be discharged shortly from the hospital.
