The BJP State co-media in charge Navin Pant said that the increased voter turnout in the Parliamentary elections so far shows that the people are frustrated with the Congress and want a change by electing the BJP. Meanwhile, the minority commission former member Anis Alam has said that the Congress-led government has done little for the welfare of the minorities.
Pant averred that the Congress has already accepted its defeat in the parliamentary polls with a wave in favour of the BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi sweeping across the nation. Expressing confidence at the winning chances of the BJP candidate from Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar constituency, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Pant said that Koshyari will win by a record margin because the people have decided to vote the Congress out of power due to the price rise, corruption, unemployment and other problems which the Congress-led government had failed to solve.
Meanwhile, Alam accused the Congress of exploiting the Muslims and stooping to a low level by spreading lies against the BJP. “The Congress has used Muslims as a vote bank but the members of the Muslim community now are educated, capable and understand the need for electing the BJP to power,” he said.
