On the orders of the Uttarakhand State information Commission the Uttarakhand Power Corporation limited (UPCl) has removed the high tension wire from the private property of Krishna Vihar, Nathuwala resident Yogendra Prasad Sati.

The commission in its hearing on October 17 had directed the Public Information Officer (PIO) of UPCl to remove the wire and inform it about the proceedings in its next hearing.

In the hearing of appeal number 15335/2014 of YP Sati on Fridaythe PIO of UPCl informed the commission that the corporation has placed a bracket poll near the property of Sati and removed the high tension line.

It is worth mentioning here that the Sati had filed a Right to Information on January 27, 2014 with the UPCl and seek information on five points. Sati asked the department as why the 11 KV line was not removed from his property despite depositing the money required for removing it. Interestingly the when the petitioner purchased the property in the year 2006 the high tension wire not there.

The issue was taken up by two appellate officers and on the orders of second appellate officer Vinod Nautiyal the matter was disposed off. The petitioner Sati appeared happy and thanked the commissioner for delivering justice to him.
