It seems that there is no end to the troubles being faced by the residents of Didsari village in Uttarkashi district that faced the wrath of nature during the disaster triggered by heavy rains in the month of June last year.
The temporary bridge that was built over the Bhagirathi river near Didsari village has been washed away due to the overnight rains that led to rise in the water level of the river. This temporary bridge had been constructed by the villagers at their own expense but with this bridge being destroyed by the rising waters of the river, the villagers are now forced to travel several kilometres on foot to reach the nearest road head on a daily basis.
Around 200 persons living in the Didsari and lombu villages are at the receiving end of the problems resulting from the temporary bridge being washed away by the rising waters of the Bhagirathi river.
