The objective of the Health Minister's visit was to resolve inter-departmental issues plaguing the functioning of the hospital but it appeared that he himself complicated matters by stating that the things in the medical college hospital would remain as they were when it was a district hospital and that would be practically impossible as the hospital management committee which use to run the district hospital is non-existent now.
Similarly the direction of not referring the cases too was not needed as cases from medical college are not referred. The Minister expressed his ignorance on the fact that the medical college hospital would now has to deposit 100 percent of the user charges to the Government unlike in past when only 50 percent was needed to be handed over to the State Government.
