Health department fails in bid to fudge data on increasing dengue cases

Published on:

The attempts of the district health department to engage in clever manipulation and management of data to report much less number of dengue affected people is failing as the new ElISA positive cases are continuing to pour out- despite restrictions- from the lab of associated hospital of GDMC.

On Monday, the department reported 23 new cases of the disease that took the figure of dengue affected people in Dehradun district to 1260. Interestingly there is difference in data provided by the state health department and district. While the district authorities report 1260 cases of dengue, the report of state mentions that 1252 people are affected by dengue in Dehradun. On Monday new cases of dengue were reported from Rajiv Nagar, Nashvilla road, Nehru colony, Inder Road, lakkhibagh, Mohabbewala, Govindgarh, Mohkampur, Nehrugram, Pitthuwala, Mehuwala and Baghat Singh Colony.
