The health of a big population residing in many localities of Raipur block in provisional State capital is at peril due to the muddy water being received from the pipelines of Government water supply department since the start of rain. The residents have complained to the public representatives and the officers of Jal Sansthan but no action has been initiated so far.

A retired government servant and a resident of ladpur Village Bhagwan Singh Rana said that water mixed with mud is received whenever there is rainfall. “We have complained to our Pradhan and the department concerned but nothing has happened so far. The incidences of water borne diseases in like jaundice and diarrhoea are on rise,’’ he said. Some residents of the locality have kept bottles filled by this muddy water to give proof of poor water supply to the officials and local MlA. Chandra Pal Singh Gusain of Rakshapuram colony said that the consuming such water is sure to invite diseases. He regretted that the no action is being initiated on such an important issue.
