The Uttarakhand High Court (HC) has directed the Swami Ram Himalayan University to grant provisional admission to the students selected by the common counselling process for admission in medical Post Graduate courses. The university had refused admission to these students in its medical college on the pretext that it has filed a case in Supreme Court  on the issue. On Monday while hearing a number of similar petitions by some medical students, the bench of Justice K C Dhyani said that the Himalayan institute should grant provisional admission to the students selected by the combined counseling on the fees fixed by the Government of Uttarakhand within three days.

The court has also

directed the petitioners that they will submit an undertaking that they will deposit the deficient fees if any after the issue is settled by fees determining committee or any competent court.
