During his visit to Haridwar Chief Minister Harish Rawat expressed his resentment over the rail budget. He said that the State of Uttarakhand was totally neglected in the budget. Speaking to The Pioneer, CM said, “The rail budget is painful for the whole country but for Uttarakhand it is insulting as well. For the consecutive two years, no positive development for Uttarakhand has been marked in rail budget which is pathetic. The central government was perhaps giving punishment to the state of Uttarakhand which has given five MP’s to the country.”
