Harish Rawat lends ear to people at public meeting

Chief Minister Harish Rawat chaired over a public hearing programme in Dehradun on Tuesday and instructed officials concerned on the spot to resolve the various issues raised by citizens at the hearing. He stressed that officials should ensure that citizens are not hassled in getting their problems resolved.
Rawat directed the Dehradun district magistrate to hold a joint meeting of Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority and the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun within a fortnight for resolving the complaints received at the public hearing. When a Dharmpur resident complained of water logging, Rawat told the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari to ensure that sewers in such areas are cleaned soon. The cleaning of sewers should be started within 24 hours, he stressed.
Responding to a Sahaspur resident about funds not being released for approved village potable water supply schemes, Rawat directed officials of the department to prepare an evaluation and release the necessary funds without delay. A Tanakpur resident informed that he had arrived in Dehradun to meet the transport corporation managing director who was unavailable. The citizen informed Rawat that the corporation had yet to start procedure regarding dependents of those who had died during employment. The CM phoned the corporation MD and directed him to take steps in this direction without delay so that all such cases are resolved within two month.
The CM issued directions to various officials for resolving the issues raised by visitors from various parts of the State. Elected public representatives, politicians and officials were also present on the occasion.
