The Haridwar police is conducting a special three-day training session for the newly recruited constables in view of the ensuing 'Kanwad Mela'. These 900 constables of 40, 31 and 46 battalions of Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) are presently getting in-service training. On the orders of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Haridwar, trained and senior officers of police are providing training to these recruits. Under the training programme the recruits are given information about route plan, diversions, important public places and crowd control measures. To impart practical training the recruits are posted at places like bus stands, railways stations, canal lines and other crowded places.
