Renowned environmentalist and ex-President of All India Management Association, Krishan Kalra gave a clarion call to all to desist from doing anything that might affect the environment while addressing a seminar on the theme “Climate Changes: Science, Effects and Mitigation Strategies” organised by Hardwar Management Association at BHEl Haridwar on Saturday. The startling revelations regarding the climatic changes made by Kalra were not only an eye opener for everyone present in the assembly, but also proved to be a moment of realization of responsibility towards Mother Nature. Highlighting the mainly man-made factors affecting the environment with the help of various data slides, he emphasised on joining hands for making efforts from the grass root level for saving the environment. Else the day is not far –off when the planet will not be worth living, he warned.
Kalra said, “As the Governments across the globe stay united on this front we all must make efforts too for spreading the awareness for the cause and make efforts for saving the human race.” Various general managers and senior officials of BHEl, members of the organising committee, teachers from local schools and members of Haridwar Management Association were present on the occasion.
