Haridwar couple seeks Guv's help as local MlA's kin dispossess them of property

Published on:

A couple from Hardiwar sought help from Uttarakhand Governor, saying  that they had been  dispossessed  of their property by a Haridwar—based influential person, who is brother of the local MlA. Haridwar resident Anuj Kumar Garg and his wife Bharti Garg held a press conference in Dehradun on Wednesday  and alleged that the local MlA’s brother had illegally occupied their property in Haridwar.

Garg appealed to the Governor to conduct an independent inquiry through SIT or others over this issue. He also said  that the MlA’s bother had captured a jewellery shop named Geetanjali and Sari Showroom named Chhabra 555 by making forged documents in connivance with  the Government officers.

According to Garg, he had written a letter to PM and  PMO on November 10 and November 29 respectively. PMO had ordered an inquiry subsequently.  However, police were unable  to conduct a fair inquiry as they were being  pressured by the MlA.  “Things were probed thrice by  police, but the reports were  concocted,” Garg  said, adding that they were being threatened by the  goons at the behest of the MlA.
