The joint forum of employees of State Government has welcomed the directive of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat in which he had asked his cabinet colleagues to take quarterly meetings with the employee association to understand and remove the problems of the employees. The forum has also appreciated the order of CM to the officials to ensure that promotions of the employees take place in a time bound manner. The spokesperson of the joint forum Arun Pandey said that the forum has consistently demanded that all problems of the employees should be solved in a time bound manner and a citizen charter should be prepared to address their grievance. He said that this step would prevent agitations and rapid development of the state. Pandey expressed hope that the new government would take effective steps to implement the understandings reached between employee organizations. He informed that state government employees are awaiting action on issues like pay disparity, U health smart card scheme, regularization of daily wagers and outsource workers, pending arrear payment of VII pay commission, adjustment of allowances as per the VII pay commission, cadre reorganization of various departments, transfer policy, facility of VAT waiver on vehicle purchase and setting up of an employee welfare corporation.
