State Finance Minister and MlA from Haldwani, Indira Hridayesh has inaugurated a digital library in the Haldwani Bar Association complex on Friday.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that since this is a digital era with the online system rapidly replacing the traditional gadgets a digital library is the need of the hour. She also announced that the State Government would release Rs30 lakh to upgrade the digital library and asked the members of the Haldwani Bar Association to submit estimates on the matter.
This aside, she announced that Rs10 lakh would be released from her MlA fund for the construction of an auditorium in the digital library complex. The MlA from Haldwani had already released Rs5 lakh to facilitate the digital library from the MlA fund. B C Paneru, president, Haldwani Bar Association, and other members of the association were present on the occasion.
